Tan Sri Datuk Sir TIONG Hiew King

Malaysian, is the Honorary Chairman of Media Chinese International Limited.

Tan Sri Datuk Sir TIONG is the founder of Rimbunan Hijau Group, one of the largest conglomerate in Malaysia engaged in the business of forestry, oil palm plantations, oil and gas, information technology, hospitality, manufacturing and other investments around the world. He is also the founder of “The National”, an English newspaper in Papua New Guinea.

Tan Sri Datuk Sir TIONG was bestowed the Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom in June 2009 in recognition of his contribution to commerce, community and charitable organisations. In 2010, he was awarded “Malaysia Business Leadership Award 2010 — The Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of Commerce in recognition of his entrepreneurship achievements and contribution to the country.
